FASHIONPear or Apple - The Sweet Guide to Lingerie by Wynter Stark
Contrary to many opinions, a woman may either possess the generalized shape of an apple or a pear. There are no other categories. Much of the confusion in this matter naturally arises from a slim or fit body challenging the imagination to ponder exactly which of the two categories fits where neither seems to. The key thing to understand here is that the more excess weight the woman carries, the more pronounced her body type becomes. Shape distinction is not so much a static evaluation as it is a commentary on the way in which our bodies hold weight when we gain it.
Also, it is important to understand that as women our bodies are constantly assaulted by hormonal and chemical shifts that are both the product of heredity and our physical and emotional environments. It is a relatively common phenomenon for a woman to undergo a severe hormonal stress such as childbirth or menopause and to afterward find that her body type has changed.
This guide is meant to discuss the differences in the two body types and to assist the reader in the selection of lingerie that may help to emphasize her best assets while subtly detracting from her less than ideal features. Never forget that feeling sexy in your own skin is more alluring than the wrong cut or style of lingerie could ever be!
Spiced Pears
Go ahead and complain about your wide hips, blossoming buttocks and voluptuous thighs! If your weight gain typically takes place predominately in these areas, then you are relatively lucky. A proportionally small waist and narrow upper body, even on a heavy frame, lessens your likelihood of death by heart disease, attack or failure dramatically when compared with an apple shaped woman. Any excess of weight will create an unnecessary stress on your bones, tendons and organs but if you are a pear you definitely can afford to carry a bit more weight than your counterparts.
A pear shaped woman is also fortunate from an aesthetic viewpoint. While she may feel larger than she should be, even with a few extra pounds her figure adheres to the archetypical feminine ideal.
When choosing a good panty cut, the back is not nearly as important as the waist. Due to the pear’s waist to hip ratio a low rise or bikini waist is almost always preferable unless the woman in question is trim or only a few pounds overweight.
A good if somewhat overdone lingerie option for the pear figure is the baby doll nightie because it will provide masking partial hip coverage. A chemise or a long night gown with a low cut bodice is also an excellent choice because these cuts will draw attention to your upper half. A classic teddy should not be discounted provided you are holding no more than a handful of extra softness because it will make your already small waist seem even tinier, giving you an exaggerated, idealized feminine form. Don’t overlook lingerie involving capris, pants or harem style leggings. Anything you can do to play down your bulges below the waist will show off your best half and help you feel the way you want to for your next intimate encounter.
Apple Tarts
If you are prone to weight gain do you see it first in your face, then next in your middle? Do you buy pants based on waist girth rather than on hip width? Are your legs your pride and joy, but you just wish your waist didn’t seem so straight up and down? Do your cycles seem more irregular and your menstruation more painful on average than other women of your acquaintance? Yep, you’re an apple. Welcome.
Admittedly, an apple shaped woman is not only less classically proportioned she is also prone to packing all manner of the fat that can kill her directly around her heart. Even a trim apple is at greater risk for heart disease than a pear shaped woman of the same height holding twenty to thirty pounds in excess. Weight control in apples is not only a matter of physical comfort, but of long term health. Some basic nutritional information should be employed by you for every meal you eat. Eat more fruits and vegetables with every meal to assist your digestion and metabolism. Don’t partake of animal fats or red meat in general if you can help it. When it comes to oils try to stay light: virgin olive oil for cooking, flax oil for dressings. Try to use more seeds, nuts and fish for your protein needs as most of these are high in omega fatty acids which will aid your body in a natural reduction of harmful fats.
A flattering panty can take many forms but it could be useful to disguise your slightly thicker middle with a high waist as in a traditional thong. Try one in a darker shade to create a flattering optical illusion.
As for lingerie styles, try to make purchases that cinch or disguise your middle while accentuating your gams. Teddies with very high sides can paint your figure in entirely new and flattering lines. Corsets, bustiers and waist cinching garments are indispensible to you. Play with hosiery and have fun, but try to avoid dark bottoms in combination with light tops because this pairing will leave you looking your worst unnecessarily.
In Conclusion
Knowing whether you are an apple or a pear is the first step in deciding what lingerie styles or clothing styles in general will show you off to your best advantage. Remember that the key to a perfect figure is creating an image of balance between your top and bottom halves. Every woman possesses her own unique beauty. Bringing that beauty to the fore can help you to look and in turn feel your very best at anytime.

BEAUTYHair Disasters by Heather
We’ve all had them, those moments where you realise your hair looks horrific and there’s probably nothing you can do. We resign ourselves to wearing a hat forever. Never fear though, for many of the most common hair disasters there are simple solutions that can often reverse the problem or at least repair it.
Here is our guide to the most common hair disasters and how to rectify them:
1. Bad Blonde
If you’ve dyed your hair at home, there is always the risk that it will go wrong. This is particularly true of those who are attempting to bleach their hair at home with the common problem of that nasty gold colour that appears instead of the champagne blonde you were after. The most common mistake that people make is the initial colour choice. If you don’t want a golden hue to your locks, choose a colour that is described as Ash, this will limited warm tones in your hair.
If it is too late for that and you’re living with a golden barnet that you don’t want to show anyone, use a simple toner. These can be bought inexpensively from chemists and will usually have a bluish tint to them. They will knock the gold colour out of the blonde after a few applications.
2. Chlorine Nightmare
Those who go swimming may have noticed their fair hair turning to a weird colour that has a slightly greenish tinge. To get rid of this, an instant fix is to apply tomato ketchup to the hair, leave for 10 minutes and rinse out. The colour will neutralise the green. A more permanent solution, if this keeps happening to you, is to apply a leave in conditioner before you go swimming. Coating your hair in this will protect your hair from the chemicals in the water as well as keeping the green at bay.
3. A Botched Perm
If a perm goes too curly and needs toning down, apply an intensive conditioning treatment from root to tip. Leave on the hair for 15 minutes then rinse. You should then set your hair in large rollers and let it dry naturally and you should see the result of a nicely relaxed perm. If this doesn’t work, you may wish to reverse the perm by having a permanent straightening treatment applied to the hair. If you are not confident in doing this yourself, it is best to let a professional do the job for you.
4. Split Ends
Once your ends split, they’re split and irreparable. Once the ends have split all you need to do is get your hair cut! Regular trims will prevent split ends from happening as your hair will be stronger. To further prevent split ends, protect your hair with a heat protecting spray when using a hairdryer, straighteners or curling tongs.
5. Chewing Gum Stuck in Hair
Getting chewing gum stuck in your hair is a nightmare and many people often resort to cutting it out and ruining their hair until it grows back. It is possible to remove chewing gum from the hair by simply soaking it in cola. The cola will loosen the gum and remove its stickiness. Another method of removing chewing gum is applying an ice cube to the hair which will also help to ease the gum out.
6. Scrunchies
Using a scrunchie in your hair is a hair disaster in itself. They went out in the early 90’s and should never return. Bin them.

HEALTHHealthy diets - weight loss programs that really book results by Australian Lifestyle & Fitness
The pressure coming from magazines, movies, fashion runways, advertisements, and even comedians with their funny, yet often offensive jokes, sets the notion that to be accepted, we have to be skinny. If you are not, you may be ridiculed, discriminated, or end up with an unhealthy dose of guilt. As a result, today's society is obsessed with diets.
It seems that almost every day a new diet is born. Currently, there are so many it is almost impossible to pick the one that is right for you. The market is so saturated with fad diets and tempting "quick-fix" plans that we cannot help but get confused. They all promise incredible results... some a little quicker than the next. But are they all healthy?
A healthy diet consists for the most part of a well balanced meal plan and a tailored exercise regime. But that is not all! Other important aspects can help increase results and guarantee success. You will not only lose fat, but the weight will actually stay off. Booking real and lasting results means:
• Lifestyle Change - In order to stay slim after the diet is over, you have to commit to a permanent lifestyle change. A diet is only a jump-start to lose weight, and once you reached your goal you will have to continue a maintenance program. Do not slide back into bad habits, such as on-the-run meals, greasy late-night snacks, alcohol and smoking.
• Lose weight slowly - A fast weight loss can harm the nervous system, and make you feel sick, sluggish, and exhausted. Losing weight quickly often results in mostly losing water and muscle rather than fat. To ensure a healthy weight loss, aim to lose only 1 to 2 pounds a week.
• Commit and stick to the plan - Once you found a diet that feels comfortable, suits your lifestyle and delivers pleasing results, stick to it. Do not change, just because your best friend believes her weight loss plan is better. What works for her, may be wrong for you!
• Continue monitoring - Even when you have reached your perfect weight continue to record your weight daily. Keep watching what you eat, the size of your portions and continue to count calories. Also, do not abandon your reduced calorie, carbohydrates, and fat recipes. Adjust your meals immediately if you continue to lose weight, or the scale starts tipping upwards again.
• Find support - Social support equals encouragement. Many well-publicized diets offer group support online, or at their real-life offices. If you are managing your own diet, involve your family, friends and even your young children. They can help you to stay focused, they can learn something from you, and maybe, they will even join you.
• Stay motivated - Do not just settle for a quick fix to fit into a bathing suit or wedding dress, but understand that eliminating excess fat and maintaining a healthy weight also reduces the risk for certain diseases. As frustrating as a diet first may seem, you can get used to it. In the end, reaping the many benefits of a leaner, healthier lifestyle will make you feel proud, accomplished and a lot happier.
Too many Weight Loss Programs promise quick weight loss with expensive meals, diet pills, and over-the-top shakes. Don't fall into that trap. Fundamentally, successful weight loss boils down to shifting lifestyles, eating healthy, regular exercise and removing unhealthy habits. Train your brain to accept this and before you know it, you too will feel refreshed and reborn!
